The cultural village celebrates the traditional Emirati heritage through the revitalization of its old Sikkas and courtyards. The proposed composition enables the space to generate memories through a unique journey towards the neighbouring mall entrances where the proposed routes penetrate through a network of living Sikkas. Moreover, the outcome of the composition is showcased in the form of a cultural neighborhood inspired by the Emirati Fareej where each function expresses its own identity. Also, the proposal suggests a central plaza that connects the shopping mall through the neighborhoods with the mosque. Thus, the plaza becomes the visual and physical connector between the sacred and the secular.
