Set against the historic shoreline of Sharjah, the Khalid Port Waterfront reclaims a dormant industrial site and repositions it as a civic and cultural front. The masterplan reorients the city toward the water through a series of walkable corridors, shaded arcades, and public squares that reinterpret the spatial DNA of old Sharjah.

Anchored by markets, mosques, and workshops, the urban fabric is composed of low- to mid-rise blocks arranged to preserve breezeways and views toward the creek. Land use is layered but legible—balancing residential life with commerce, heritage, and leisure. At its core, the project is a spatial repair: a carefully orchestrated return to the coast as a place of gathering, exchange, and identity.
